Inspiration Series Each year, Gary Farrell Winery makes hundreds of separate lots of wine, representing different vineyard blocks, grape clones and even fermentation treatments. These lots comprise the final blends of our various wines, ranging from single vineyard bottlings to our Russian River Selection wines. But every year we have one or two lots that are unusually distinctive and seem to stand out in our winemaker’s mind, capturing her imagination. Rather than blend these small lots into other wines, we decided to create a new label referred to as the Inspiration Series, which pays tribute to some of these truly unique wines and gives our winemaker creative license to pursue her inspiration. The Gary Farrell Inspiration Series – recognizable by its unique black label – harkens to the pioneering spirit of the winery with one or two very limited production wines that will change with each vintage.
